Immediate access to urgent medical care is important to you. We are open seven days per week for the convenience of our patients.
It’s estimated that eighty percent (80%) of all ER visits can be treated at an Urgent Care Clinic such as ours. Visit us for General Illness treatments like colds and flu, x-rays, lab services, some immunizations, pediatrics, occupational health and more.
Assignment is accepted for Workman’s Comp, and Automobile Accident patients, as well as Kaiser patients (who generally will just pay their regular co-pay if we can confirm coverage). For patients with Medicare as their primary insurance, we collect at the time of service at a discounted Medicare rate, and we will bill Medicare for you; any reimbursement will go directly to you. We collect at the time of visit for all other patients, but complete an insurance claim for you to send to your insurance provider for reimbursement. If you pay with a credit card and send in your claim form immediately, you will most likely be reimbursed before your next statement is due. Since the majority of our patients are out of state, it is near impossible to determine health insurance coverage on an episodic basis.
Cash, check and all major credit cards accepted for payment. We collect payment at the time of service. If you have any questions about any of our policies please contact us for further information.
Everyone knows that an emergency room visit is not the fastest or most cost effective choice when you need immediate health care and it often it takes days to get in to see a primary care physician or specialist. Urgent Care understands your needs, and offers a great alternative to ER or visits to your Primary Care Provider. We do not want to take the place of those essential providers but to provide you with a convenient alternative. Urgent Care can save you time and money.
You don’t want to waste time waiting in a lobby if you’re feeling ill. To save time, download our patient forms and complete them prior to arrival.

What to expect. When you arrive, we’ll make your experience as convenient and as efficient as possible. After checking in, a member of our staff will lead you to a private exam room to take your vital signs and learn more about the reason for your visit. He or she may begin diagnostic tests such as a urinalysis, blood test or an EKG to prepare for the medical provider. When the provider comes in, he or she will listen to your concerns, examine you, and discuss your results, diagnosis and treatment plan. While we are a first-come, first-served facility, please be aware emergency patients may be slotted ahead of you in line in some circumstances.
Our caring medical staff will review your treatment plan and results. When you are comfortable with the information the provider has shared, you will be escorted back to the front desk to complete your visit. There you will receive aftercare instructions, any necessary prescriptions and a record of your visit. Your provider may indicate that you should be seen again within the next day or two to make sure your condition is improving.
We want you to be back on your feet in as little time as possible. So, whether or not your condition requires follow up, our staff may call within a few days to see how you are feeling. Use the follow up call to ask questions about your recovery process. If any follow-up appointments or changes to the treatment plan are needed, the medical provider may ask you to come in for an additional checkup.
Of course, we can treat illnesses such as colds, flu, stomach aches or ear infections. Keauhou-Kona Urgent Care is your number one choice for fast, caring help. Our knowledgeable medical staff can quickly diagnose your ailments, and provide the proper medications and treatment to get you on your feet in no time.
